**Results from weekend & Fixtures for week ahead**

Our Youths and Saints B Team had no fixture last weekend.
On Saturday evening April 7th, at an immaculate Cooke Park, a huge crowd gathered to watch the highly anticipated game between St. Michaels V North End Utd (Wexford) in the New Balance FAI Semi Final Game. (Full Match Report available on our home page Facebook) – St. Michaels lost this game 2.1 having led the game after going 1 up with an excellent Joey Mulcahy shot on 37 mins. From then until the 86th minute, St. Michaels held this lead. Saints were getting the better of North End United for most of the game but North End never gave up. From about 70 mins on, North End began to get on top and eventually got their just reward equalising very late in the game. Another 2 mins later, they got the winner. This game was brilliant to watch – I don’t think any of us have ever seen a better game at Cooke Park. Two excellent sides, and it was of League of Ireland standard. Saints were excellent throughout the game but wins at this stage of the prestigious competition don’t come too easy. Getting to an FAI Final isn’t easy and North End United will be formidable opponents for Pike Rovers in the final at the AVIVA on May 12th next. We would like to thank all our supporters. We had huge support with everyone decked out in green and white. To our supporters who are with us every Sunday, whether the lads are playing in Cooke Park, in Dublin or in Donegal, we know this defeat has left you a little deflated but we do what we always do after a defeat, we park up the result, and move on with our next game and continue to cheer on our lads.
St. Michaels printed an excellent programme for the game and it was very well done. Some lovely photos and write ups were in it at a cost of €3 – Great Memories in the programme. There are some left if anybody wants to purchase one. Thanks to all the local Businesses who put Adverts in the programme. Your support as always is hugely appreciated by us at St. Michaels.
We would like to thank all who helped us before the game on Saturday with the pitch, and to all who helped out upstairs at half time as it was very busy – You know who you are! Thanks to the girls who sold the programmes. Big shout out to our super Ball boys who did an excellent job as the match ball was flying everywhere such was the high pace the game was played at – To Ryne Bargary, Shane O Grady, Charlie Brazil, Aaron Brazil, Daire Bresnan, Denis Cremins, Gerard Quinn and Kobi Quinn – Well done boys.
We would also like to thank the local Businesses who gave us Disposable Cups for the Teas/Coffees – Martin at Amber Limerick Road, Supermacs Limerick Road, Maxol Cashel Road and Applegreen Limerick Road.
Tipperary Town Plaza also had a mobile shop at the game which went down a treat – It was busy throughout the game.
We would like to send our best good wishes to North End United of Wexford for the Final of the FAI – Best of Luck lads – You will be a tough nut to crack for Pike Rovers ! – It’s a great occasion to be part of so enjoy every bit of the day –
Both Teams and Supporters adjourned to Lowrys Bar on Saturday evening after the game and all mixed very well together – You are a sound bunch of lads with great supporters – To their Manager John Godkin who is managing North End for 25 years – Hope you get to lift the Cup on May 12th next. Thanks to all at Lowrys Bar for food/refreshments.
