**News after last weekend as Saints march into FAI Junior Semi Final

News after weekend** (Please read all news feed)
On Sunday morning 11th March a bus full of supporters set off from Cooke Park for DIT Grangegorman Campus along with our players for the hugely anticipated New Balance FAI Junior Cup Quarter Final game against a very fancied Usher Celtic FC of Dublin. A huge crowd of supporters went to Dublin via planes, trains and automobiles !! - Club were humbled by the amount of support we had so we are hugely appreciative of it. Usher Celtic had their fans out in force also. At 2pm game kicked off and we didnt have the greatest of starts after going 1 down very early on. Saints settled and within the following 10 minutes were a goal up courtesy of Colin Bargary. 1st half of game was very level and both teams went in 1.1. to the good at half time. As 2nd half of game started, it was clear to see that Saints had stepped up a notch. Second half of game was excellent and quite different from the first half. Saints had all the play and our lads were playing out of their skins, with Usher having no answer for us at all. As the game wore on, Usher began to tire and Saints fitness shone through. Our wizard on the wing Jim Carr sent in a great cross for Colin Bargary to score the winner. It was great play and wrapped up the game at 2.1 - We would like to send out good wishes to Colin as he received a head injury.
All our lads were brilliant as was our Management making some very clever changes.
Well done Team and Management. Thanks again to all who travelled. Everyone was very happy after the full whistle went. Usher Celtic kindly invited us all back to Clarke City Arms for refreshments and food where we all adjourned. We would like to thank all at Clarke City Arms and to Usher Celtic - a good no nonsense team - We wish you all good wishes for the remainder of your soccer season.
We would also like to thank our Saints Resident Bus Driver Paul Flynn who got everybody back to Tipp for 9 last night. All were tired but happy after the long day.
We got excellent news shortly after the game upon hearing that the draw was made for the Semi Final New Balance FAI Junior Cup and we are at home in fortress Cooke Park, on weekend of 7/8 April against the winners of Ayrfield FC of Dublin and North End Utd of Wexford - their game to be played weekend of March 25th next.
Our Saints Bandwagon is still happily rolling!!
Our Saints Youths game was cancelled and we now gain the home advantage next Saturday March 17th at 2.30 V Cahir Park Youths - Tipperary Youth Cup Semi Final. Good Luck Team and Management.
