**Results from the weekend**

Our super Saints Youths travelled to Peake Villa on Saturday February 3rd for a vital TSDL Youth league fixture and came away with a valuable three points after winning the game 1.0 – Goal from Evan Hanrahan. Well done Team and Seamie. It’s another big step to reclaiming back to back Youth League Titles.

Our Saints B Team travelled to Vee Rovers on Sunday morning February 4th, for a TSDL Division 1 League fixture and went down to a good Vee Rovers team on a score line of 5.0. Hard luck lads.

Sunday February 4th, at a glorious cold but sunny day at Cooke Park, the visitors/opponents for our super Saints Team were Tolka Rovers of Dublin in a highly anticipated FAI Round 7 (last sixteen) Cup clash. Tolka arrived in big numbers, all decked out in their famous Red/White colours and the kids that travelled with them all had flags. There was a huge crowd at this big game and Cooke Park or our lads didn’t disappoint. Green/White colours were on show everywhere by our supporters. There is a marvellous history between our two Clubs and the friendships were evident yesterday. The atmosphere was good and our lads went in 1.0 to the good at half time with a Jimmy Carr goal. The score line at the finish was 3.0 with Jim Carr adding to his tally and 1 from David Slattery. Full match report available on our home FB page. Special mention also to Tolka Rovers goalie who was excellent on the day Callum Atkinson.

Some of our Ladies went to huge effort yesterday to feed everybody at half time, such was the huge crowd that was there. Sandwiches, Cakes and Buns were all on hand upstairs. Sandwiches were made, buns were baked and we would like to give them a special mention, - Big Thanks to Rita Flynn, Dolores Allen, Aislinn White, Melissa Breen and Sandra O Grady – Ye did a great job. Big shout out to Young Josh Mulcahy who also arrived on with a load of buns and goodies. Thanks also to Jagger Russell for making all the Teas and huge thanks again to Jim Carr of Buckleys Bakery for his kind donation of Slice Pans, Cakes and Buns. Thanks also to everybody who bought our Club Lottos. Great comradery from everybody that added to the special occasion. After the game, we all adjourned to Lowrys Bar where Tolka Rovers sportingly joined us. It has to be said, that all who travelled from Tolka yesterday were a credit to their Club and we certainly hope our friendship continues – Good Luck to the Team for the rest of their soccer season.

A huge Well Done again to our Saints Team and Management – All the lads played excellent and we are firmly in the hat for the Draw for Round 8 of FAI Cup (last eight) – Good luck wishes – Draw takes place next week – Keeping fingers crossed for a Home Draw. We would also like to thank all who supported the Team yesterday – It was hugely appreciated.

Fixtures will be updated tomorrow with dates/times for next week.
